Inspired by a Love for Music
Hi there! I’m Miss Aimee- an educator, music arranger, and passionate lifelong learner based in Tafton, Pennsylvania. My journey into music started young, in a house full of laughter, dancing, and spoons-as-instruments. I picked up the violin in fifth grade, and something just clicked. I loved how it felt to create something special, to do something that not everybody could. I learned how to turn practice into pride, and passion into purpose.
It was in high school, though, that everything changed. I had a teacher who inspired me to believe in the power of music and education. Years later, I now commute back to that very same school to teach after taking over the program from the teacher who changed my life. That full-circle moment means everything to me.
I hold dual certification in Music K-12 in both Pennsylvania and New York, as well as Pennsylvania PK-4 certification. At the heart of everything I do is the belief that students thrive when they feel seen, heard, and supported.
Whether I’m leading a classroom, crafting a musical arrangement, or helping a new teacher find their rhythm, I bring a core set of values to everything I do: warmth, honesty, inclusivity, and humor. When you work with me, you can expect lessons that are tailored, collaborative, and filled with connection.
In my time as an educator, I’ve had the privilege of helping students find their confidence in theory, perform in high-level orchestras, and even learn a new instrument mid-year and rock it in concert. I love creating custom arrangements for student ensembles, especially mashups and meaningful pieces tied to the group’s identity.
Outside the classroom, I’m usually curled up with coffee, video games, or a comic book (my Funko Pop collection is getting out of hand). I write fiction in my downtime and snuggle Jasper, my very vocal cat, who likes to crash my online sessions. If you’re into language learning, storytelling, or the occasional board game, we’ll get along just fine.
